Researchers are confident that by 2031 the global waste paper market will grow by approximately 8.5 percent. The increase will exceed $96 million. At the same time, the volume of deforestation will increase. However, the level of awareness of the planet’s inhabitants about the situation in nature will increase. Of course, we should be happy that the waste paper market will increase in volume. But the fact that deforestation will increase is an unpleasant assumption. This is probably due to the increasing volumes of paper consumption. Despite the fact that today waste paper, including OCC 11 waste paper, is in demand among processors, it still turns out that forests are being cut down, since primary cellulose is needed by manufacturers.
A report was compiled on the estimated growth of the waste paper market in the world. It indicates all the features of growth, paying attention to such points as regions, sources of waste paper. Asia leads in terms of paper waste market volumes. European countries, as well as the USA and Canada, are successfully working in the processing sector. However, despite the fact that the processing area is growing, forests are mercilessly cut down. It is probably time to take action to reduce deforestation, not only by increasing recycling, but also by directly limiting tree cutting. Otherwise there will be no forests left in the world. And this will already lead to natural and environmental disasters.
