Europe has decided to revise the rules related to the circulation of recycled paper. According to experts, these rules will negatively affect the export of waste paper, including old corrugated containers. As a result, the European paper industry will face problems that will have a negative impact on its functioning. As before, it will not be possible to ship recycled paper to international customers. This will lead to oversaturation of the European market. As a result, something irreparable can happen.
At the same time, buyers of the product they need from other countries that are subject to these rules will be seriously affected. They will not be able to continue running their business. There is, of course, a way out. Establish cooperation with suppliers in other countries. However, this may lead to additional costs, for example during transportation, if the delivery distance increases significantly.
The European Union is constantly making adjustments to supply turnover. Not so long ago, India suffered due to innovations limiting the circulation of secondary raw materials. A little later, the European Union lifted the restrictions, the abolition of which was actively advocated by Indian businessmen. However, new rules appear again and again, which, in the opinion of many, can undermine the policy that is being pursued in the field of the global processing industry.
