The Thai authorities have decided to introduce measures that will allow controlling the import of waste paper. This was announced by the head of the department dealing with foreign trade. The reason for introducing such measures was the information that used paper received from abroad contains dangerous inclusions. Today, Thai entrepreneurs are actively purchasing waste paper abroad. They use it after recycling for the purpose of producing roll paper, as well as packaging products. And, as it turned out, the raw materials that come from abroad contain waste that is hazardous to health. Accordingly, it is necessary to control the quality of waste paper so that only safe raw materials enter the country.
The authorities believe that unsorted waste paper is entering the country, including old corrugated cardboard, therefore it contains dangerous inclusions. It is necessary to monitor what raw materials are brought into the country. However, they do not admit the possibility that Thai entrepreneurs are simply trying to save on purchases by buying unsorted waste paper. It is necessary to introduce control measures to ensure that buyers buy quality raw materials, and not buy cheap ones, which, in fact, contain dangerous inclusions. In any case, the Thai authorities are determined. The import of waste paper will be controlled unequivocally.
