Storing waste paper is not an easy process

DLK paper

Waste paper requires provision of conditions for its storage. Large areas are needed to accommodate sorted recycled paper. Safe storage must be ensured. Because waste paper, including DLK paper, is a fire hazardous product. So, a few days ago, in South Carolina (USA), a fire broke out in a warehouse where waste paper was stored. This cannot be allowed, because it is paper, and it burns well. Responsible recycled paper suppliers always ensure that the product is stored in such a way that it does not deteriorate or is subject to negative impacts. In particular, fire safety is ensured, which is important not only for the purpose of preserving raw materials. The fire will intensify due to the high degree of flammability of waste paper. This could cause catastrophic damage.

It is quite difficult to store waste paper, however, when it is sent to the buyer in wholesale quantities, it accumulates in any case and waits for its time of dispatch. And during the storage period, it depends on the supplier whether it will be in a condition that is acceptable for sending it to its destination. Creating storage conditions is the supplier’s task. We, as a waste broker, know how important it is to do everything necessary to ensure that the product does not suffer from the same fire.
