The price of waste paper of certain types is unstable. The cost parameter is influenced by many factors. In particular, it could even be some unforeseen circumstances. Thus, in the UK they are concerned about the situation in the Red Sea. There are currently attacks on commercial ships in this region. As a result, the supply of various goods, including paper waste, shipped by water is negatively affected. England’s exports suffered due to the fact that, due to the current situation, most shipping companies decided to change the route of ships with cargo. The ships are sent through the Cape of Good Hope, which is done in order to avoid getting into the waters of the Red Sea. This may lead to increased delivery prices, order cancellations, and delivery delays. All this, accordingly, may cause an increase in the OCC 11 waste paper price and the cost of other types of waste paper sent by water, and in the near future.
It should be noted that prices for waste paper are very different if you evaluate offers around the world. However, we, as a waste broker whose main goal is to make the world a cleaner place, try to keep pricing at a level that is as affordable as possible for a wide range of consumers. Of course, the situation in the Red Sea does not make us happy. English waste paper exports are facing serious problems. We hope that this problem will be resolved soon and that prices for waste paper will not increase.
